Orthodontist – Dr. Keith Coombs:
Dr. Keith Coombs loves teeth! His father is an orthodontist in Utah, his brother is a dentist in California, and his sister is a dental hygienist in Utah. Dr. Coombs began working in the orthodontic field for his father when he was just 13 years old. He enjoys helping all of his patients obtain the best smile that they can have.
Dr. Coombs attended Utah State University where he competed with the USU ski and soccer teams. He attended dental school at the University of the Pacific. He graduated in the top 5% of his class and was inducted into the TKO dental honor society for his scholastic achievements in dental school. He was also inducted into the distinguished OKU National Dental Honor Fraternity for his accomplishments in patient care and academics. After graduating from dental school in 2005, he received his orthodontic training at Temple University in Philadelphia where he completed a residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. He earned a Masters degree in oral biology from Temple University with his thesis project involving a study of the Invisalign System. He enjoys giving lectures about various dental and orthodontic topics. He loves orthodontics and facial esthetics and can treat teeth with Invisalign, braces, or other appliances and can improve facial esthetics with the use of Botox for wrinkles or facial pain and fillers for facial esthetics.
Dr. Keith Coombs is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, and the New Mexico state dental and orthodontic societies. Dr. Coombs has been married to his wife Cathie since 2001 and has six children: Colter, Emi, Corbin, Dax, Lena, and Neil. Their family loves outdoor sports and activities.

Lead Assistant – Jenny Whitefield:
Jenny Whitefield has worked in the orthodontic field since 2009. She assists Dr. Coombs with all procedures, schedules new patients, and will help with any questions regarding your treatment or account. She graduated from Hatch Valley High School and has lived in las cruces since 2002. Jenny, her husband, and two children enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Assistant – Christina Tovar:
Christina Tovar has been in the dental field since 2005. She graduated from Dona Ana Community College with an Associates Degree. Christina is proud to be a part of the Las Cruces Orthodontics team which she considers her second family. She has enjoyed helping patients transform their smiles here since February 2016. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her son and two daughters. They like to visit the library, bake, do outdoor activities, and volunteer in the community.
Dental Hygienist/Assistant – Regina Mossburg:
Regina has been in the dental field since 1999. She attended Dental Careers Plus and obtained her license as a dental assistant. She practiced dental assisting until 2013 when she returned to school to further her education in the dental field. She earned her Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from New Mexico State University. She believes every patient should be educated about oral health care and have the opportunity to achieve their maximum dental health. Educating her patients is one of her passions as well as sharing the love of her job with others every day. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family outdoors and watching movies.
Assistant – Mary Hinojos:
Mary Hinojos has worked in the orthodontic field since 2010. She has worked as a records specialist, sterilization technician, laboratory assistant, and clinical assistant. Mary graduated from Hatch Valley High School and has lived in Las Cruces since 2002. She and her fiance are enjoying their new baby boy Christopher and she loves spending time with family.
Dental Hygienist/Assistant – Jennifer Perez:
Jennifer Perez has been working in the dental field since 2007. She graduated from Dona Ana Community College with her Associated Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She has been working at Las Cruces Orthodontics since December of 2016 and is enjoying the orthodontic field. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and spending time with her son, family, and friends.
Front Desk – Louise Montoya:
Louise started her journey with Las Cruces Orthodontics as a patient. At the time she was retired and was very impressed by Dr. Coombs and the office staff. They presented such a positive and caring environment that she wanted to be part of the team. Jenny had noticed Louise showed the kindness that we wanted to portray at our front desk and asked her if she would be willing to work with us. She has been an excellent addition to the Las Cruces Orthodontics team since that time in 2016. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling, reading, and hiking.
